Trust & Continuity
We don’t sell what you store with us. We built the company so we can’t.
This isn’t a line buried in a privacy policy. It’s the reason Catalyst is structured the way it is — and the specific, checkable commitments that come with it.
As AI agents start reading client files, bank feeds, and years of business history, most software companies pick up a second incentive alongside your subscription: the more of your data a system touches, the more valuable that data becomes to sell, train on, or use to lock you in. That incentive is the thing we built Catalyst to remove — not by promising to resist it, but by making it structurally impossible to act on.
The charter.
A data steward holds your data on your behalf — it doesn’t get to profit from it. Here’s how Catalyst commits to that, in writing.
We will never monetize your data
Not by selling it, not by training outside models on it, not by using it for anything beyond running your own system. Catalyst makes money from setup fees and AI capacity — never from what you store with us.
No one's pay depends on your data
Compensation across Catalyst — including any future equity or revenue share — is tied to product quality, uptime, and security audits, never to how much data we collect, retain, or process.
Independent oversight
An independent Data & Security Council — chaired by an outside-funded security and privacy lead — enforces this charter and holds veto power over any change that would weaken it. It sits structurally apart from Catalyst's commercial side.
This charter is public, and binding on us
It isn't a slide in a pitch deck. It's an explicit commitment written into our customer agreements — one meant to survive leadership changes, funding rounds, or a change in strategy.
The Data & Security Council.
The charter is only as real as who’s allowed to enforce it. The Data & Security Council holds veto power over any feature or data-access decision that would compromise it — chaired by an independent, outside-funded security and privacy lead, and kept structurally separate from Catalyst’s commercial side. We’re not naming individual members while it’s still being formed.
Privacy & Security Lead
Audits how data is encrypted, stored, and scoped to AI agents.
Legal & Data Governance Lead
Owns the charter itself and how it holds up as regulation evolves.
User / Small-Business Advocate
Represents operators using the system, not Catalyst’s growth targets.
No Council member holds equity, revenue share, or any Catalyst compensation tied to growth — paid fixed, market-rate terms instead, so nothing about their pay ever points toward looking the other way.
In practice
What this looks like today.
The charter above is the destination. These six commitments are already live, not a roadmap promise.
Source Code & Data Escrow
If Catalyst ever shuts down or discontinues support, our source code and production data backups are released to you under a formal escrow agreement — so your system can keep running, or be handed to another team, with or without us.
Your Data, Kept Separate
Your client records, Ledger history, and documents live in your own account, never commingled with other customers’. Pull a full export — JSON or SQL — anytime with one click. No request, no waiting on us.
Own It Outright
Your OS, your modules, and your full Agent Suite are a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing lapses, and there’s no recurring bill we could ever raise or cut you off from.
Bring Your Own AI Key
Plug in your own OpenAI or Anthropic key and your agents run on it directly, at your cost. You’re never dependent on Catalyst for the AI itself — only the platform around it.
Optional Dedicated Infrastructure
Want your own isolated instance and database, physically separate from Catalyst’s shared platform? Available as a $30/mo add-on with its own setup, for teams that want that extra layer of isolation.
The 60-Day Guarantee
If your agents don’t save you at least 5 hours a week in your first 60 days, tell us and we refund every dollar of your setup fee. The financial risk sits with us until the platform proves itself.
Own it outright. Keep it either way.
